Code is increasingly found, adapted and integrated by agents working for developers at other companies. Permissive licenses remove friction from that loop: no copyleft obligations to track, no debate about whether generated glue code became a derivative work, no legal review before an agent can wire it into a prototype. If the goal is to become a building block that people and their tools reach for by default, the most permissive common license is the shortest path.
