💡 WHY RUTH IS RIGHT
Cross-platform frameworks repeatedly promise one implementation across changing native platforms, and many are excellent for years. The maintenance cost appears later, when framework upgrades, abandoned plugins and OS changes interact with code written by people who have left. The web has its own problems, but URLs and browser standards have survived an extraordinary number of client-framework cycles. Starting there defers an irreversible platform bet.
